calling all mommies: hostess gifts

This week's topic is.....

HOSTESS GIFTS

I have three showers coming up in the next month or so.  I am so thankful that my friends, family and co-workers are loving on Pearson in this way, and I want to show them how much I appreciate them.

Do you have any cute ideas for hostess gifts?  Or have you given or received a really fun hostess gift?

I like giving Edibile Arrangements. They are pricey but they have small ones that aren't too much.

I had personalized notepads made, gave those w/ a cute colored pen, a small candle, & a pair of super comfy lavender-scented socks from Bath & Body. I only had four hostesses tho, 15 is a LOT!

It's 6 of my Mom's friends, 4 of my friends, and 5 of the girls I teach with.

Remember you don't have to spend a lot to let people know you appreciate them. A personal thank you note attached is always a good idea too. Candles, vases, sweets and kitchen wares are always good!! If you have an opportunity to hit up an outlet mall before your showers, you can score some great deals!

Katy -- I hosted a baby shower recently and the sweet little mama gave us all these super-cute purse-sized umbrellas! They also had a cute hand-made card with them that said "Thanks for the Shower!" They have these at Target and other places I'm sure. I loved this gift... relatively inexpensive, thoughtful, useful and cute!

I knew you had a lot to give to. I liked the orchid your mom got from the last shower she helped host. It is spring so a little flower in a pot would be cute.

Some kind of baked candy or cookies would be nice. I am planning to make homemade turtles and box them up nicely to give my shower hostesses. I also like the idea of a simple potted flower. Tie ribbon around the pot and attach a card.

I just had a baby shower & I gave them all a Vera Bradley make up bag with a lip gloss in it from bath & body works...the make up bags were on sale about 2 months ago so I bought them online then. But Vera Bradley makes really cute, small gift type items! A cardholder with keychain would be cute with a starbucks gift card in it?
