pearson {16 months}

Pearson, Pearson, Pearson.  We love you SO SO much and you bring so much joy into our lives.  You are such a smart little boy and we are loving all the new little tricks you are doing this month.  You've added a few new words to your vocabulary and you are starting to mimic some of the things we do and say.  I have a feeling your vocabulary is about to explode this next month.  I absolutely love that I get to stay at home with you everyday because I don't have to miss a thing!!  We can't wait to see what you do this month baby boy!!  We love you so much

Measurements: 25ish pounds & 32ish inches

Clothes:
  • shirts/onesies: 12-18 & 18 month shirts; beginning to wear some 18-24 months
  • shorts/pants: 12-18 month & 18 month
  • pjs: 18 months
  • diaper: size 4
  • shoe: size 5
Sleeping: You officially dropped your morning nap this month.  The transition was not bad at all.  If we are home you nap at 12:30 right after lunch, but if we are out, I can usually push your nap until 2pm.  You go down easy and sleep for 2-3 hours.  Since we dropped your morning nap,  you now go to bed right at 7pm and sleep until 7:30 or 8:00.

Eating: You drink 3 sippy cups of milk, one at breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You eat three meals a day with us and have 1-2 snacks a day. You pretty much eat whatever we eat and you eat alot.  You have such a big appetite. This month your favorites seems to be grapes, bananas, cheese, quesadillas, green peas, and crackers. But really you'll eat just about whatever we give you.

New Tricks: You have mastered going down the stairs safely, but we still don't trust you around them. You have lots of new words this month.  You learned how to opened all the doors in our house. You can point to your nose, eyes, and mouth.  You can pretend sneeze.

Words: Dada (Daddy), Go (when he waves),  Doh (dog), Da("dat"), Woah (hello), MaMa, Duh(Duck), Wah (Water) and LOTS of babbling.  New this month: GoGoGoGoGoGo (when we mention going somewhere), Nuh (milk), Ah-Oh (when he drops something), Di-Dle (Bible), Ca-Cer (cracker), Go-Go (anything with wheels), Doo (Peek-a-Boo), Shhh (Shoe),

Teeth: 11 (six top/five bottom) Your bottom right molar and bottom right lateral incisor came through this month.  You've been extra drooly the last few weeks, but when your last tooth popped through it all made sense.

Likes: Reading books, eating/snacking, playing with cars, coloring, pushing his lawn mower, going for walks, "cleaning the floor", playing in his tent.

Dislikes: Getting his diaper changed, brushing his teeth, waiting for his food when he's hungry.
Other Random Things:

  • You love to pull out all of Daddy's shoes out of his closet and try them on when he gets home from work.
  • You are obsessed with books.  You love reading.  You are so cute when we tell you to go get a book.  You will look all around, find a book, come running back to us and then back up into our laps for us to read it to you.  Although you don't sit still very long because you like to read the books really fast.
  • You pretend sneeze now.  When pretend sneeze and say "Ahhh-choo." You fold your head down and say "Ahh-Shh".
  • You watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for the first time this month.
  • You go straight to Izzie's crate when I tell Izzie to get her bed.  You love to close the door on her.
  • You point to things you want and when I say let's go change your diaper, go on a walk, go outside, etc. you go to the correct place.

Look how you've changed....
