So I said I would post pictures of my classroom along time ago, but WOW I have been so busy. I'm not sure I will ever slow down and have a semi normal life. I am starting to think I need to just add a couch to my room so I can just spend the night there. I've got everything I need to live there except the couch. Here's what I've got....
1. A bathroom in my room. (I'll have to go the nurses office for a shower.)
2. Internet
3. TV on a big screen projector.
4. Mini-fridge
5. Microwave
6. Coke Machine in the lounge
7. Gym to excercise
8. Giant kitchen to cook.
What else do ya need.
Seriously I do sometimes think I should just live there. I usually get there around 6:50 in the morning and I try to leave by 4:30, but that doesn't always happen. Sometimes I'm up there til 7 or 7:30. That makes for a long day....12 hrs. Luckily for now I have a nice hot meal to come home to cooked by my Mom. Living at home didn't seem like the coolest idea at first, but let me tell you, the money I am saving and all the perks to living at home are FABULOUS. My parents just might have to kick me out before I move out!!
Well I won't make you wait any longer. Here are the pictures of my lovely classroom (a.k.a. my 2nd home) that hosts 17 of the cutest Kinderarteners in all of Texas!!!
The most popular center of all, the kitchen center where many funny things go down, like kids talking about being on diets that are strictly McDonald's, pretending to be talking to the president on the phone, and calling each other "honey" and "sweetie pie" because they are playing house! Also in the picture is my teacher table where I work with the kids individually. And behind that is their "Star Work".
All of my math manipulatives and Math Tubs. And don't forget the "How's Your Day" discipline chart. If the kids keep their award stick all week they get to go to treasure box. (which is all junk, but they love it and are soooo proud of it)
This is my word wall and reading corner underneath it. Beside the computer are the Work Station tubs, which are basically learning centers. And Star Student of the Week that I haven't had time to start yet!
This is the whiteboard that barely gets used. I have my free center chart and the work station and math tub charts up there. More importantly is the big screen that comes down where we watch a 30 minutes educational show to give teachers a break. I mean give the students a break, because we no longer have naps in Kindergarten.
My desk area and my teacher chair where I teach from.
The Calendar Wall. My favorite part of my room and my day. I spend almost an hour teaching from this wall alone. I have so much fun with the kids singing songs and doing funny things.
Well that's all for now! Sorry it took so long to post again. I promise to do it quicker this next time. Let me know if you take a peek at my blog. I'd love to hear from you!!!
Until next time...
