Little stinker on the run (or crawl) with my sandal.  He does this all the time!

 Pearson plays so well all by himself at night before bed.  It's so cute to watch him read his books.

 We saw lots of animals and insects on our walk one day including this moth and caterpillar. 

Pearson woke up from his nap one day with little black specks all over his face.  He had been chewing on his crib.  Grrrrrr....

 A lady from church has a cupcake business out of her home.  When she makes too many she sells the extra through facebook.  One evening I picked up 2 Cookies N Dream cupcakes for us.  SO YUMM!!

 I had to wake Pearson up the other day (which I never do) and he was soooooo not ready to wake up.  

2012 Summer List

I know summer doesn't officially start until June 20th, but to me Memorial Day is like the kick-off to summer!!  So here's what is on our list of things to do this summer!!

Ever since becoming a Stay at Home Mom, one of the things I've been so excited about is making a "Summer List" to do with Pearson.  I was thinking that he might still be too young to do "summery" things this summer, but after writing out some ideas, I think we are going to be quite busy this summer!! Most are things I want to do with Pearson but a few are things I want to do with just Matt or as a family.

Just like lots of other holidays, it's so easy to get caught up in the fun of it and forget the real reason we celebrate. 

Today we celebrate the men and women that fight for our freedom. Freedom isn't free, ya know! 

We thankful for those who have served, are serving and will serve in the armed forces. We thank you for your service to our country and the sacrifices your families make for us. You are truly our heroes.

HELLO, sunshine

Today was such a beautiful sunny day, so this afternoon after church we had a little family date to the pool!!

It was Daddy's first time to join us!

This little guy LOVES being at the pool!

He was really lovin' that Daddy was at the pool with us!

And I was lovin' that Daddy was there too because I was able to capture all his sweet smiles. 

He was so proud of himself for walking around with Daddy.

I really thought the pool would be a madhouse with it being Memorial Day weekend, but there was barely anybody there. 

We had the little kiddie pool all to ourselves. 

We had such a fun afternoon at the pool!!

I'm so glad I get Matt home for one more day tomorrow!
