visitors {week 5 & 6}

We had a few more visitors over the last few weeks.  Nash is a popular little guy!!

Carson finally got to meet Nash.  He was sick when he was born so he wasn't able to meet him and then Ashley and I couldn't get our schedules to work out so he was really late getting to meet him.  He was super excited to meet him until he got to our house and then all he wanted to do was play with Pearson.  Olivia on the other hand can't get enough of Nash.  She is such a little Mama!
One day while we were at Lolly's house, Carson decided he wanted to hold Nash!
The Janes were so sweet and came to visit and brought us Spring Creek for dinner!!
Matt's sister, Nicole, came by and took Pearson off of my hand for a little while.  Pearson had a ball playing with his cousin Ethan.  They went to Taco Bueno for lunch, then round the train at Firewheel Mall and played at the park.  It was such a nice little break!!
Amy also came by to see us and brought some dinner.  It won't be long until I get to return the favor and bring her dinner when her little Miss is here.
We are so thankful for all of our friends and family for blessing us with meals over the past 6 weeks.  We are truly so blessed!!

Hormel REV Meat Snack Mix Review {& Giveaway}

Disclaimer:  Recently I partnered with the Hormel REV Meat Snack Mix Blogger program. They provided complimentary product in exchange for my review, however all opinions are my own!

I have to be honest, when Hormel contacted me and asked me to try these REV Meat Snack Mixes I was a little weirded out by the meat aspect of it.  My little man is not a huge fan of meat (its hit or miss these days) so I thought I would go ahead give them a try as another way for me to get some protein in his diet.
My little man LOVED these!!  And I have to say I thought they were pretty tasty, too.  My favorite was definitely the pepperoni pizza, but they all have such bold, delicious flavors that we really liked them all!  He of course loved all of the crackers, pita chips and pretzels that were in the mixes but he even loved the meat.  Every time he came across a pepperoni he would hold it up high and yell "Hey…Pepperoni!!!".
 With no refrigeration or preparation needed, these are the perfect, convenient, on-the-go snack.  They offer up to 12 grams of protein and make a perfect replacement to the regular ole goldfish or crackers.   These will be perfect for the pool this summer!!

Hormel REV Meat Snack Mixes are exclusively available at select Kroger Stores in the DFW area.  They can be located in the shelf-stable snack section near the beef jerky.

If you are interested in sampling out this product, leave a comment with your e-mail address and I will draw one lucky winner for a little goodie bag full of all three flavors and some coupons!!!

Giveaway will end on Monday, March 31st.

G is for Grammy

Pearson is obsessed with what words (and especially names) start with. He is always saying "D is for Daddy" or "N is for Nash". If you ask him what G is for, he will always say GRAMMMY!! We love Grammy!
Grammy came to visit today and it couldn't have come at a better time. I ended up having to take Pearson to the doctor so it was so nice to have her help.
Even though we had to spend part of our day at the doctor, we enjoyed our time together.  It was nice to have an extra set of hands for the day!!
Thanks for coming to see us today, Grammy!!

happy spring!

Yesterday we celebrated the first day of Spring (which also happens to be the day Matt and I got engaged and my half birthday) at the park with some friends.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day so when Jenica texted a few of our neighborhood friends to go to the park, we dropped what we were doing and headed to the park.
We have a park right behind our house but we drove to a different one in our neighborhood this time. Pearson enjoyed it and even got a little brave with his climbing.
Pearson loved having so many familiar faces at the park!
My sweet baby boy just sat in his carrier and snoozed through the while trip. He sleeps almost all the time so trips out with both of the boys haven't really been a challenge. I know it won't be like this forever so I'm enjoying it while it lasts!!
I love these sweet girls! It's so nice to have friends in the neighborhood in the same stage of life. And it's super fun watching our kids become friends.
Hope you enjoyed your first day of spring. I wish we could be out at the park again today but we are all lcongested and we found out Pearson has pink eye. Fun times!!

let the madness begin

A few nights ago we all filled out our brackets for the March Madness tournament.  Pearson made all of his choices on his own for his bracket and we all three took turns choosing for Nash's bracket.
I had so much fun watching Pearson and Matt fill out his bracket.  Matt tried to help him out and re-ask who he wanted if he made a bad choice, but he always had his mind made up.  Needless to say, he has quite a few upsets in his bracket and chose and 8 seed to win the whole tournament.
Pearson is always talking about Baylor or saying "Go Bears" so we were kind of surprised about one of his picks.
This year I'm cheering for Florida.
Matt is rooting for Witchita State.
Pearson is going for Kentucky.
Nash is hoping for Baylor.

#thelinkhomeeveryday2014 {week 11}

{Day 71}
Because one Chick-fil-A sauce just isn't enough!
{Day 72}
Pearson wrote his name while we were at Scotty P's for lunch with my parents.  His "s" usually looks like a squiggly snake but here it looks like a "c".  Oh well, pretty impressive for a 2.5 yr old.
{Day 73}
These letter puzzles from my Kindergarten classroom kept Pearson busy for a solid hour.  Score!
{Day 74}
Peanut Butter Treats for a little Saturday treat!
{Day 75}
Pearson is all into taking pictures now.  I'm pretty sure it's because I take so many of Nash. He wants to join in on the fun now! I totally don't mind getting sweet little shots of this smile.
{Day 76}
My little lefty practicing writing his name.
{Day 77}
The first of many bath together.  Pearson had so much fun helping me wash baby brother.

maternity pics

We did a big maternity photo session for Pearson's pregnancy so I felt like I need to do maternity pictures for Nash's pregnancy.   Knowing that Pearson wouldn't cooperate for long I didn't want to spend the big bucks on a full session, so we opted for a small mini photo session instead.  It was cheaper and it just the right amount of time in front of the camera.  We got all the different combinations  of picture that I wanted so I was pleased with our little session.

Our family picture with just the three of us.
I love this man so much.  I couldn't have asked for a better Daddy for our boys.
Cheeeeeeese!!
Love this little stinker!
My boys. My heart. My world. Love them.
Pregnancy is such a miracle and I am so thankful that I have been blessed to experience twice.  I love my two little boys so much and thank God for them everyday.
These pictures were a last minute thing, but I'm so glad that we decided to do them.  I know I will treasure these pictures forever.

the big show

The weather was pretty dreary on Saturday so we knew we needed to find something fun to do indoors to entertain Pearson.  My Facebook newsfeed has been bombarded by posts all about Frozen.  We still hadn't seen it so we thought today would be the perfect day to see what it was all about.  I took Pearson to the movies shortly after he turned two this summer and he did pretty good, so I knew that he would probably do even better now that he is older.  And we knew if I nursed Nash right before we left that he would sleep in his carrier the entire time.
We have been doing Family Movie Night at home every now and then so when we told Pearson that we were going to the movies, he thought we were going to watch it at home.  We explained that we were going to see a BIG movie at a theater that wasn't at our house.  He then started telling us that we were going to The Big Show!!  And he immediately asked if he could eat popcorn.  He could hardly wait to get to the theater so he could eat his popcorn.  He was so excited!!
As soon as we got there we gave him his popcorn and he happily sat and watch all the commercials and the preview.  One of the previews was a little mini Mickey Mouse movie.  I leaned over to my Mom and told her that when the mini Mickey movie was over that Pearson was probably going to be disappointed that this wasn't a Mickey Movie.  Sure enough as soon as it was over and Frozen started he said, "Where Mickey go?"  Once the movie got going he seemed pretty interested in it.  As long as he had snacks.  I packed an entire bag of snack to give him a choice to have one after his popcorn.  Once his popcorn was gone he didn't want to stay in his seat so I kept giving him snacks.  He would sit still and watch the movie as long as he was eating.  He ended up eating one and a half bags of popcorn, peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, cranberries, a granola bar and applesauce.  Needless to say, he didn't have lunch.
We all thought it was a pretty cute movie and I LOVED the music.  Some of the songs are still stuck in my head!! It sure was nice to get out of the house and do something fun as a family on a yucky day.
