I got this recipe from a friend, and tried it a few weeks ago. This will definitely be Saturday morning breakfast staple at The Link Home!!
Cook a 1/2 of a pound of sausage.
Drain off the grease.
Add 4 oz of cream cheese while the sausage is still hot.
Stir until it's all mixed up.
Unroll a can of crescents, flatten the dough, and press together seams.
Spread the cream cheese/sausage mixture onto the crescent dough.
Roll the dough & mixture into a log.
Get out unflavored dental floss.
(I know this sounds weird, but it will make your life so much easier!!)
Pull out a nice long string and wrap it around the log roll. Criss cross the strings and pull. Repeat until all the log roll is cut into pinwheels
You'll get perfect little pinwheels if you use dental floss.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Serve with a cold glass of OJ!!!
Enjoy!!
holy cow those look good...thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look yummy. I will have to try them out.
ReplyDeleteI make these. However mine only had the sausage not the cheese. I bet the cheese makes them even yummier!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever had those. They look great.
ReplyDeleteThese look DELICIOUS! I'm definitely going to make them soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI make these all the time, but have never cut them before cooking, good idea. Just a tip...you can now buy the crescent pre flattened so You don't have to pinch the seams, just roll it out and viola!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this yummy recipe! My cousin makes the same thing with real bacon bits. I'm sure the sausage taste great too!
