I follow My Charming Kids blog and she wrote this awesome post called "the truth about Easter." Take another 5 minutes to go read her post. It is really good.

Easter is about a real death, a real sacrifice, and a real resurrection. Christ already paid the price for our sins, so that we could live eternally in heaven with him. You just have to make the choice to make it PERSONAL.
