baby no. 2 {16 weeks}
how are you measuring? Right on track. I was measuring one day ahead in my sono.
size of baby? size of an avocado
heartbeat? 180's bpm (at our 13 week appt)
total weight gain/loss? 0 lbs
maternity clothes? My pants are starting to feel snug and they are definitely not very comfortable to wear. I've worn a few with my Bella Band but I've worn alot of dresses this week. Next week I'll bust out the maternity clothes.
stretch marks? Just a few faded ones leftover from my sweet first born! But as I'm growing I feel like they aren't so faded.
sleep? Sleeping hard at night. I usually go to the bathroom twice and both times I try so hard to just hold it but I can't. Even though my belly isn't huge, I have to have a pillow under it.
best moment this week? Having Matt home all week!!
movement? Yep! I'm feeling little flutters in the evening when I lay very still and put my hands on my belly.
food cravings? Anything sweet!!
gender predictions? This week I'm thinking girl. Almost all the wives tales point to girl. And Pearson is convinced its a "baby girl". Two more weeks til we know!!!
what i miss? I miss having a clean house. I just have no energy to keep my house clean. I try hard to keep it straighten but I've even been slacking at that. I'm definitely getting more energy back and not feeling the need to nap, but not enough energy to peel myself of the couch and do something productive.
what i'm looking forward to? Looking pregnant. I'm just feeling fat these days!!
how are you feeling? I'm feeling great! No feeling sick this week!!

comparisons to last pregnancy? Feeling the baby move earlier.

breakfast date with my little man
My big man went golfing with one of his friends this morning so I took my little man out for a breakfast date.
Since we were seated in a booth, I let him sit in a booster seat beside me. He felt like such a big boy.
We colored together, talked about trucks and named all sorts of things that we saw around the restaurant.......including calling a man a monster. Oops! (He had really long hair and lots of facial hair.) Thankfully he didn't say that one too loud!!
I had a birthday coupon for a Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity. It was the perfect breafkast for us to split. He evenly split the meal. He ate every bite of his half and I left some of mine. My two year old officially eats more that I do. Crazy!!
These are the best kind of receipts!! Breakfast only cost me a tip!!
Now every time we pass IHOP on the highway he says, "Pancakes"!

benihana's
We met Matt's parents at Benihana's for dinner tonight. We had two $30 Birthday Certificates to use!! They recently changed their policy to where you have to buy a meal to use your gift certificate so it's basically a Buy One Get One Free Coupon now.
Our dinner was absolutely fabulous.....as always. And the company wasn't to bad either!! Well, Pearson was a little toot because he hadn't napped that day, but we enjoyed chatting with Matt's parents!!
I felt like I walked in without a baby bump and walked out look 6 months pregnant!! I was so stuffed!
We were awesome parents and let Pearson watch a video on my iPhone during the majority of dinner. He was sooooo loud and wouldn't stay in his seat and we hated to ruin everyone's experience in the restaurant.
After dinner, Pearson finally cheered up a little when he got to sit in Grandaddy's lap and play with the chopsticks.

pearson's 1st day of preschool
Today was Pearson's 1st Day of Preschool.

He was jumping with excitement this morning!!
I'm super excited about him being in a true preschool program this year.
They go to Chapel, Music and Spanish everyday and they don't take a nap!!
His short naps at Mother's Day Out this summer were a real bummer because
he came home a grump because he never took a long enough nap.
Now that he doesn't take a nap at school, he will come home
exhausted and take a good nap for me!!
Daddy is home all week while he is in between jobs, so he got to accompany us to our regular Tuesday Chick-fil-A breakfast, drop off and pick up.

He was pretty proud of himself carrying his backpack and lunch box.
I can't believe he's old enough to start preschool.
Such a big boy opening up the door and walking in all by himself.
One of the greatest things about his new school is that they have a carpool line. They actually don't let anyone in the building in the afternoon for security reasons, so our only option to pick him up is to either walk up to the doors and wait or use the carpool line. I'll definitely be using the carpool line!! This will be so nice when Baby #2 comes in February.
After we picked him up we celebrated his 1st day of preschool with a delicious treat at Dairy Queen......with a BOGO coupon of course!!

It's going to be a great year!! I can't wait to see him learn and grow this year!!

We picked up Pearson's new back pack (or as he says...."tack-tack") from my parent's house yesterday and Pearson wanted nothing to do with it on his back. He loved the mixer on it but he refused to wear it. As soon as we pulled up to his school, he heard another Dad asking his child if he wanted to put on his back pack or carry it. Immediately Pearson started saying "Tack-Tack, Tack-Tack, Tack-Tack." He hopped out of the car and put it right on. He just needed to see someone else do it!!

He was pretty proud of himself carrying his backpack and lunch box.
I can't believe he's old enough to start preschool.
Such a big boy opening up the door and walking in all by himself.
When we got to his classroom he dropped his bags right in the doorway and ran to the big bucket of cars. No tears and not even a hug or kiss good-bye. They encouraged that parents stay out of the classroom so I ran in for two quick pictures and stole a little kiss and we were off. I'm so glad that he loves to be at school!!
Pearson's teacher said he had an awesome day! He got a stamp in his folder and everything!!One of the greatest things about his new school is that they have a carpool line. They actually don't let anyone in the building in the afternoon for security reasons, so our only option to pick him up is to either walk up to the doors and wait or use the carpool line. And you all know I just love a good comparison picture........
Check out my little tiny 14 month old and now my big 2 year old.
What a difference a year makes!!

It's going to be a great year!! I can't wait to see him learn and grow this year!!

homework
Last week at Meet the Teacher, we were sent home with Pearson's first homework assignment. His assignment was to draw a picture of something fun he did this summer. Sadly, we didn't do anything too exciting this summer because his Mommy kind of slept the summer away! We still have about 5 or so more things we haven't gotten to on our Summer List. I'm determined to get them all marked off in the next few weeks before Summer is officially over.
Anyways.....back to homework....
We decided to draw a picture of the zoo.
When I taught Kindergarten I always got so irritated at the parents that totally did their kids homework. Especially the arts and crafts. I didn't care to see how pretty their parents could make it, I wanted to see that sweet sloppy care free Kindergarten work. I am determined to not be one of those parents. As much as I wanted to draw a perfect picture for Pearson, I let him do it all by himself.
And he wouldn't have had it any other way. He kept saying "Pearson do it".
My little lefty doing his 1st homework.
He was REALLY getting into it!!
The finished product. He was so proud!!
We are so excited to start Preschool tomorrow!!

see you later izzie
For about a year now I have been thinking about getting rid of our dog. Ever since Pearson was born we just don't give her the love and attention that she deserves. She really is such a fun, sweet,
well behaved dog. We just don't pay attention to her at all. Plus, with Baby #2 on the way, we have had to start clearing out the only extra room in our house. Izzie's crate stayed in that room so with the extra room being turned into a nursery, we really don't have a place for her stuff now.
I knew if I gave her away I didn't want to just give her away to anyone. It had to be a friend or someone I knew pretty well. I posted this picture of Izzie with a bunch of info about her on Facebook on Saturday and hoped and prayed one of my Facebook friends would want her.
About an hour after I posted it, I got a text from a friend from our ABF that she was interested. After texting back and forth for a while, they decided that they wanted her. I was sooooooo excited!! They have a little boy a little older than Pearson so she will love having a little friend to play with. They also already have a lab and a cat. Izzie is kind of indifferent to cats, but she loves my parents Labradoodle so I knew she would love having a big buddy again! After they picked up Izzie, Rebecca kept me updated on how my Izzie girl was doing.
They said that Cooper insisted on Izzie sleeping in his room and sleeping with his blanket. How sweet! Pearson played with Izzie periodically, but was never really "buddy buddy" with her. I can already tell that Cooper and Izzie are going to be great buds.
I'm am absolutely thrilled that we found a good home for Izzie, but it is definitely bittersweet getting rid of her. I got her as a graduation present from my parents in 2007 so she's been in my life for six years. She really was my first baby. We had so many good memories together!
Here are just a few pictures of my sweet Izzie girl over the years.
My itty bitty puppy!
She always loved hiding behind the door and beside the toilet in my bathroom!
Busted......but isn't she cute?
My napping buddy my first year of teaching when I was so exhausted.

She always had to be up on the computer desk when I was working.
Photo Booth fun!!
Wakeboarding!
Hanging out on the boat!
Family picture in the snow.
Covered in snowballs.
Taking a breath of fresh air!
My sweet Izzie girl.
My sweet Izzie girl, you will be missed, but I know that you are at a much better home with a family that will love and take care of you and give you all the attention that you deserve. They are going to spoil you rotten. I'm so glad that you are with a friend of mine because I don't have to say "Goodbye" for good. It can just bee a "See You Later" because I know we'll get to see you again.
Love you Izzie girl!!

baby no. 2 {15 weeks}
how far along? 15 weeks
how are you measuring? Right on track. I was measuring one day ahead in my sono.
size of baby? size of an apple
heartbeat? 180's bpm (at our 13 week appt)
total weight gain/loss? -1.0 lbs
maternity clothes? No maternity clothes yet. All of my shorts are starting to fit perfectly. No more loose fitting shorts. I'll probably have to bust out the Bella Band soon since my maternity stuff is still too big.
stretch marks? Just a few faded ones leftover from my sweet first born!
sleep? I fall asleep so fast at night. I usually take two bathroom trips a night. I'm taking less and less naps and when I do they are just cat naps.
best moment this week? This sounds terrible, but we found a new home for Izzie. I'm excited to have found a new loving home for her!!
movement? I'm pretty sure I felt a few very little flutters this week. I'm hoping they are a little stronger this week so I can really know they are flutters and kicks!!
food cravings? I keep forgetting to mention that I have to have a glass of Cran-Apple every single morning. If I don't I start to feel sick. I was the same way with Pearson, except I craved Orange juice instead of Cran-Apple
gender predictions? This week I'm leaning towards boy. Honestly, I just go by my dreams. Last week I had lots of dreams about having a girl and this week I only had one dream and we were having twin boys. Most things have been so similar to Pearson's pregnancy. All the differents have been so subtle. But who knows?? It could be a girl. We find out in three weeks!!!
what i miss? I miss working out. I keep saying I'm going to start back up but I have just been so busy. I would love to say I'm going to start this week, but we have another busy week upon us.
what i'm looking forward to? I'm looking forward to spending the entire week with Matt. He is off work all week before he starts his new job on the 9th. We've got some fun things planned and we've got some projects around the house planned. I'm just excited to have his company this week!
how are you feeling? Starting to get some of my energy back and not really feeling sick unless I need to eat.

comparisons to last pregnancy? My belly seems so sensitive this go round. I don't like any pressure put on it.
