fun in the sun

The past two summers Ashley has gotten Season Passes to Hawaiian Falls.  And both summers she has been sweet enough to let me use her Buddy Pass that comes with the Season tickets!!
Pearson still gets in for FREE since he is 2, so it's a free day for us!!
Last summer he loved climbing all over the kiddie park but this summer all he wanted to do was sit by my side.  He was so scared of all the things that splashed water.  I can't believed he loved it when he was one but hated it when he was two.  Even though he didn't go an play in the kiddie area, he still had fun splashing in the water and playing with Olivia's toys.  His favorite part of the entire water park was the Lazy River.  I put his puddle jumper on him and he would let me touch him.  He just liked to float and ride the river all by himself.  He was all smiles in the lazy river!!

Ashley had rented out a Cabana for Carson's birthday, but it ended up getting rained out so she transfered the Cabana rental to today.  It was really nice to have some shade to escape to from the 100 degree weather.
The other perk of having a Cabana was that we had a waiter that brought us free drinks and took our orders for food.  We didn't have to wait in any lines!!  After lunch Pearson and I shared a delicious sno-cone.
When ours was all gone he head over to see if he could bum some off of his cousin!!
Pearson and Olivia had had the hardest time sharing toys & snacks all day long, but for some reason they decided to share their sno-cone.
Oliva would take a bite, then Pearson would say "Pearson Bite", then Olivia would actually give him a bite.  We couldn't believe it!!
Sno-Cones made this cousins pretty happy!!
We got to the park right at 10:30 when it opened and stayed until 3:00.  We were both pooped after a fun day in the sun.
Thanks Ashley for treating us to a day at Hawaiian Falls!!

busy busy weekend

We had a busy, busy weekend.  I feel like I'm just now catching up to sit down and blog.
Have I mentioned how tired I am?  I totally remember being tired with Pearson, but not this tired.  If I don't get a 2-3 hour nap every day, I'm asleep on the couch at 7:30.  It's pitiful.  But at least I know that all these naps are helping me grow a big strong baby.  We went to the doctor today and got to see our little baby for the first time.  I'll share pictures tomorrow.

For now, let's talk about our busy, busy, weekend.
We started our weekend with Carson and Olivia's 5th and 2nd birthday party.  I didn't take a single picture.  I stole this picture from Ashley.  Her table turned out so cute and the food was delicious!!
Since Pearson just had his birthday, he knew just what to do with all the presents.  He had a hard time understanding that the presents weren't for him.  Thankfully, Olivia didn't mind the help and let him help her unwrap her presents.

Saturday evening we met up with Matt's parents to drop him off for a sleepover while we went to the Ranger's Game with our ABF
Our seats were way high up, but it didn't matter because it was just  nice to get away for the evening with our friends.  It would have been even better if the Rangers would have won.  The last three games we have been to, they have lost.  We must be bad luck.
While we were at the Rangers game Pearson was having a blast with Grammy and Grandaddy.  Or "Go-Daddy" as Pearson has been calling him lately.
They made a little sandbox for him to play with.  Look at that little mischievous smile.
 Grammy also made this fun little water tower with coke bottles.  She said he thought it was the neatest thing ever!!
 We got a text from Grammy in the morning saying that he slept great!  Pearson and Grandaddy started their morning watching "golf-ball" (The British Open) and eating "tup-takes" (banana muffins).  He got to go to church with Grammy & Grandaddy which was a real treat for him!!
 After church Matt and I headed up to Sherman to spend the rest of the day with them.  We had a yummy lunch, swam, took a little nap, played with all of Grammy & Grandaddy's cool toys, ate dinner and then headed home.

I was too tired to take any pictures all day, so we don't have any pictures of our time together.  But I can guarantee we had a good time, because our car ride home looked like this.......
Thanks Grammy & "Go-Daddy" for keeping Pearson so we could have a night away!!

hanging with the girls

On Monday we got to hang out with the LeBlanc girls while their parents went to a meeting.  Ethan was at school for most of the day, so it was just Pearson and the girls!!
After we picked up Ethan from school the boys enjoyed lunch together and ran around like crazy boys!!

friday funday

We had a day full of fun in the sun today!
This morning we went of to Ethan's house to play, swim and eat lunch.
His parents are out of town so Grammy & Grandaddy are keeping the kiddos.

I know I say this all of the time, but these boys just love each other.  We walked in the house and within 5 seconds they were both screaming and chasing each other.  They have so much fun together!!
 Ethan has a fun little swing set in his back yard. He was so cute showing Pearson how to do everything!
Love this sweet boy!
Pearson wouldn't climb up to the slide until he saw Ethan do it.  He was all about the slide after that.
He wanted to do exactly what his big cousin was doing!!
This kids is definitely all boy! He could dig around in the rocks and dirt all day long.  He filled up and then dumped out this truck no less than 10 times.
 After a fun morning of playing we stopped to have some pizza and watermelon.
 Pearson kept calling it "Na-na-ma-na" and Ethan thought it was soooooo funny!!
And the fun didn't stop after our fun morning with Ethan and Grammy.  We headed over to my friend Jenny's house for another swim with some girls and their babies from our ABF.
We had so much fun swimming with all of our friends.
For some reason Pearson seemed kind of scared of the pool at Ethan's house, but when we got to Jenny's house he was a little dare devil.  He had no fear.  He even jumped off the side a few times.
While we were swimming we had Pearson try to say everyone's name and he actually did pretty good.
He can definitely say Jack the best!
{Courtney & Jack}
Ethan wasn't so sure about the water at first.  Today was his first time to swim so he was hanging on to his Mommy for dear life for a little while.  He finally got used to it and ended up liking it pretty good!
{Ali & Ethan}
 Pearson and Myla had a good time throwing a little ball back and forth.
{Kristin & Myla}
 When I asked Pearson to say Parker and Michell's name, he said Cracker & Shell!!
{Parker & Michelle}
We hadn't been to the pool since May 31st, so it was good to get back in the water!

Looking forward to lots more fun summer days at the pool.

And the fun isn't even over for today......
We are going to a carnival this evening at my parents church!!!
