wedding brunch

This morning we went to my 2nd cousin's wedding.  It was at 10:30 which seemed kind of early for a wedding, but it ended up being great!!  They served brunch which is my favorite!! 

**Don't mind my eyes that are staring off into space.  I was looking at the wrong side of the camera!!

Outside the reception they had waitresses walking around cream cheese iced carrot muffins, ice water, tea, & lemonade.  Inside the reception they had a chicken & waffle station, a scrambled egg station and a yogurt parfait station.  It was all sooooooo yummy!!  I

t was so nice to have a little Saturday brunch date with my hubby and still have the rest of the day to spend time with family!!

Last night we dropped the little man off at my parent's house so we could have a night out.  

We went to a wedding of one my friend that I have known since elementary school.  

 She married a guy from our hometown so it was basically like an 8 year high school reunion.  I hadn't seen some of these girls in so long.  These were some of my best friends growing up.  It's so weird that we are all grown ups now.

I got to see my sweet friend Jamie and her husband Oliver.  I hadn't seem them in forever since they live out in West Texas.  They are expecting their first baby in August so it was fun to talk baby stuff with her!!

Brittany and Preston were there too.  It's always good to see my best friend from high school/college roomie/maid of honor.  We just live 30 minutes apart but we don't get to see each other near enough! 

 Despite 3 tables falling at the wedding (2 of which had dinner on them), we had a great night catching up with old friends.  

I'm so thankful my Mom was able to keep Pearson even though he is a little sick, so we could have a night out with friends.

Sunday night one of the sweet girls that I work with got married. It was such a fun wedding. They had great food, an awesome DJ, a photo booth, delicious cake, and candy buffet!! The wedding was just absolutely beautiful.

I brought my camera but unfortunately didn't take too many pictures.

**On a side note: I'm super jealous of Matt & Sarah. They are going to The Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen this week for their honeymoon. (It's where Matt and I went for our honeymoon.)

Saturday night we headed out to Forth Worth with Jared and Sarah, our friends from church.

The reception was at the Texas Cowboys Hall of Fame Museum in the Stockyards. I had never been to the stockyards so it was a fun little experience. We definitely want to take a day trip out there sometime again!!

Wedding showers....oh how I love them. Whoever invented them was the greatest person ever. I was blessed with 4 showers. Family and friends were so good to me. We wouldn't have much of anything in our house with the abundance of gifts people showered us with.

But since there won't be anymore of those for me I'll just enjoy going to them.

Jamie and I have known each other forever. Jamie was one of my very best friends in Jr. High and High School. I am so excited for her and Oliver and can't wait until May 30th when she becomes Mrs. Grabbe!!

Not only was it a wedding shower, but it was a bit of a high school reunion with alot of my old friends!! It was so fun to hang out with old friends.

Before this post comes to an end, I have to brag on my Mom. Look what she made....

Congratulation to the Mullen's

 

This past weekend one of my longtime friends and my Maid of Honor in my wedding got married.  Her wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and she was too.  She truly is one of those people that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.  She is such a special friend to me and I was honored to stand by her on her special day.  Our whole lives we've talked about getting and married and having babies and being mommies together.  And now we have just gotten married 5 month apart.  I wonder if we'll be having babies at the same time too??

I had such a good time at the wedding.  I got to spend the evening with my sweet husband. 

I got to see my sweet roommate from college.  

I got to hang out with some of my high school friends.  

And I had some really yummy, pretty, strawberry cake!!  

Thank you Brittany for letting me be a part of your special day!  We can't wait to hang out with you guys when you get back from your honeymoon!

A couple weekends ago my Mom, two of her friends and I threw my best friend a shower.    Showers are the greatest thing ever.  They are fun if you are given them for sure, but I had a lot of fun giving one.

I put together an extra gift from the hostesses for Brittany.  We gave Brittany a stock of cleaning supplies, but with a wedding twist.  I read this poem to her as I gave her each cleaning supply.  

Dear Brittany-

We gather together with you to celebrate the DAWN of a new ERA. Marriage is a journey. Some days it will be pure JOY, but 
let's take a moment to talk about the others.



There may come a time when you realize your big BRAWNY guy isn't 
necessarily MR. CLEAN. When this and other little glitches 
occur, don't SHOUT or send up an SOS. Go EASY ON him. Hopefully the TIDE will change quickly, tensions will VANISH, and things will BOUNCE back to normal.



We think you and Preston are a FANTASTIC couple with a ZEST for life and a sincere appreciation for each other. We fully support you
