valentine's with my THREE boys

**Lots of random post coming in the next few days. I'll be "re-posting" them later on the correct date but for now they'll be on the wrong date so they show up in your readers!!

Since our c-section was scheduled for February 17th I didn't think Nash would be here for Valentine's Day.  I never dreamed that I would have a one week old baby and get to celebrate with all THREE of my boys.  I did plan ahead though and get Matt and Pearson a Valentine.

Matt and I keep it simple.  We don't really celebrate this Hallmark holiday. I just got him a sweet card and some candy.
Pearson is probably so confused because he has been getting so many presents between Big Brother gifts and Valentine's Day presents.  He probably thinks it's Christmas.
I got Pearson some sticker books from the Dollar Tree, some Mess Free Crayola paints, a new zippy cup and I burnt a CD with all his favorite songs on it to play in the car.  We played the CD in the living room while we were playing today and he kept calling it his "Movie Song" since we played it the DVD player.
After we opened presents the boys all snuggled in bed while watching a Mickey Valentine's show.
I made Red Velvet waffles and strawberries and bananas for breakfast.  The idea of them was a whole lot more delicious sounding than they actually were.  I wasn't too impressed.
(And yes, I take gummy vitamins!!)
Since poor little Nash didn't get a Valentine this year, we decided to pull out the bouncer and call it his present.  He seems to really like it.  We put it on our kitchen table (don't call CPS on me, please) and that's where he hangs out now while we eat all our meals!!
My Valentine's Day gift from Matt was a little "me time".  Matt gave me a nail salon gift certificate for my birthday way back in September and I had never used it.  I had planned on using it this week before my scheduled c-section, but since Nash came early I didn't get to get my mani and pedi before he was born.  I nursed Nash then we all hopped in the car for Matt to drop me off at the nail salon.  Matt came home to put Pearson down for a nap and hang out with Nash and my Mom picked me up when I was all finished.    It felt so good to get pampered.  I got a manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows waxed.  Now I'm all ready for our newborn pictures on Monday!!  A little "me time" was absolutely the best Valentine's day gift ever!!!
Our Valentine's Day was nothing special, nothing over the top and definitely not romantic at all, but I couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day with my THREE boys!!
These two little guys absolutely melt my heart!!  I'm so glad we got to have our littlest love with us on Valentine's Day this year!!!

i love you BERRY much + {a free printable}

With Baby Nash's arrival anyway now I knew I needed to be on top of things with Pearson's Valentine's just in case he comes before our scheduled c-section on February 17th.  I saw these cute Valentine's on one of my fellow Dallas Moms Blog writer's personal blog, and knew they would be a perfect Valentine for Pearson's preschool friends.   I loved them, but I didn't have some of the supplies to make them, so I changed things up a bit and made them my own with supplies I already had at home.
Supplies needed:
AppleBerry GoGo Squeeze pouches
Red Paper
White Paper
I love you BERRY much printable
Glue Stick
Hole Punch
Red Curly Ribbon

I just love how these are a healthy alternative to the traditional candy valentine.  Pearson LOVES GoGo Squeeze pouches so I hope his little friend love them too!!

And since I love all my wonderful readers, I made this printable just for you!! All you have to do is sign your child's name!!

lately.....

Thanks for sticking with me while a took a little blog break.  I just needed a little time away from the blog.  I've had a lot of responsibilities at church lately, been busy with my new little nanny job and of course chasing around and entertaining a toddler is a full time job!!  I know I never have to "apologize" for not blogging, but I like to keep my blog up to date because it's essentially my scrapbook!!

So, here's what we've been up to lately....

We had a Valentine's Day playdate with my childhood friend and her daughter Stella.
We got to see my cousin, who lives in Tennessee, compete in a gymnastics meet here in Dallas.

We were all so incredibly proud of Ashton.  It was amazing to watch her in her element.  Plus it was great to see on of my other cousins and my uncle.
We went to Splitsville with our ABF for some bowling.
I hate to brag, but in the first round I beat all the girls AND the guys.  I can thank my bowling class at A&M for my skills!!
I kept my niece and nephew so that Ashley could get her hair cut and colored.
Sweet Olivia had to improvise with all the boy toys we have in our house.  Who knew that a dump truck could be a stroller, a rocking chair, and a crib.
We also went and visited Nonnie.  They sure do loooooooove their Nonnie!!
And who wouldn't when she gives you cake for snack!!!
This past weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to go to DotMom for free.  I won a ticket from the Lifeway Women's blog.  My Mom kept Pearson all day Friday until Matt got home from work and then Matt kept him all day Saturday.  It was the longest that I have ever been away from Pearson.  I love him to pieces, but it was nice to get away for a little while.
I went with two of my sweet friends from Bible Study, Meredith & Mandy.  We had a blast Friday and Saturday together.  The speakers were great and the break-out sessions were amazing.  I really walked away with lots of great ideas, encouragement and motivation to be the best wife and mom that I can be.

Hopefully soon I can share with you some of the stuff I learned at DotMom.  I'm just such a terrible writer.  It's so hard for me to put into words what I want to say.......which is why I usually just stick to lots of pictures and a little bit of writing here on my blog.  But, the Lord really taught me some neat stuff and I would love to share it with you all.

i love you through and through

To my little Valentine:

I love you through and through.
I love your top side
I love your bottom side.
I love your inside
and your outside.
I love your happy side
your sad side,
your silly side,
your mad side.
I love your fingers
and toes
your ears
and your nose.
I love your hair
and your eyes
your giggles
and cries
I love you running
and walking,
silent
and talking.
I love you through and through.....
yesterday, today and tomorrow, too.

surprise valentine visit

Tonight Lolly & Pops surprised Pearson and came over to deliver his Valentine! He was so excited to see them!!
He walked right up to Pops to open up his little Valentine.
He thought the foam bath letters looked pretty cool!!
Before we gave Pearson a bath we watched a couple of videos of our funny little man with my parents.
This one is of Pearson jumping on a little trampoline at the girl's house that I nanny for.
This one is of Pearson singing Ho Hey in the car the other day.  He does this every single time he hears this song!!  Even while we were listening to this video he was singing HEYYYY, HOOOOO!!
This one is of Pearson dancing to "In the Jungle"at Story Time today.  I really need to get a full video of him doing this, because he is so funny when he does the whole song!! And just like the other video, he danced and danced while we were playing this video.
After Pearson put on a show, dancing and singing and telling us his letters, we put his new bath toys to good use!!
Thanks Lolly & Pops!!
