diapers galore

Two of my sweet friends from church, Jenny & Courtney, hosted a Diaper Shower at Corner Bakery for me today! A while back when lots of our class started having 2nd babies, we decided that instead of doing "real" showers hosted at someone's house that we would do diaper showers at a restaurant for all 2nd babies.  No need for decorations, real invitations and everyone pays for their own food.  It's a simple shower to host and a great way for all of us girls to get together!!

Our class is so busy with our kids and lots of new babies being born that's it's hard for us all together. (We've had 6 babies born in the last 5 months) We picked a good date for the shower though because there were so many girls that were able to come to my shower.  It was so fun hanging out with everyone.

And just because my food was soooooooo delicious I had to include a picture of it!!

 The majority of my gifts were diapers and wipes so we didn't even bother opening them.  I did open a few of them though that had other things included like this cute and cozy little outfit from Baby Gap. 

My Mom also made a cute little gown for Nash to wear in the hospital.  It will probably swallow him up but it will make changing diapers in the hospital easier since there aren't any snaps!! 

 When we got home from the shower I couldn't believe how many diapers we got.  We filled up one entire side of Nash's closet.  We wet so incredibly blessed by the generosity of our friends in our ABF. 

**And I guess here is a little sneak peak of Nash's nursery.  You'll have to wait to see the rest until I get everything up on the walls.  Hopefully that will be soon.  I'm so ready to be done with it!!

surprise bunco shower

Tonight at Bunco, all the ladies surprise me with a baby shower.  We played our normal 3 rounds, broke for dessert and then instead of continuing to play a few more rounds, they brought out an abundance of presents!!  Of course since it was a surprise, so I didn't have my real camera.  Most of the pics from my iPhone came out blurry so here are a few of the best ones!  I wish I would have stopped and taken a few good pictures.

 My Mom doesn't normally play with us but she was subbing for one of my friends so she gave me my hospital gown and Nash's first little outfit and hat.  We are going to be styling' in the hospital.  

 And this is my "You gals are awesome, I can't believe you pulled this off face."

Thank you ladies for all the sweet gifts.  Nash is so loved already and he's not even here yet!

diaper love

Yesterday I hosted a shower for my friend Christie and Baby Everley  

Christie is our first Mama in our ABF to have a second baby, so our ABF decided to start a diaper shower tradition for baby #2.  To make Baby #2 showers even more low key, we also decided to have the showers at a restaurant where decorations aren't needed and each person pays for their own meal.  This was definitely the easiest shower I have ever hosted!  I love hosting fun showers, but it sure was nice to bless this Mama without all the extra fluff!!  

All I have to say is that after seeing all the diapers Christie was blessed with, I'm really excited about this tradition!!

I love all these girls, and it was such a fun morning just chatting, eating and showering Christie and Baby Everley.

Of course Christie mainly got diapers at the shower, but a few girls got creative with their diapers and made opening the packages fun!

Carissa made her diapers into a diaper cake.  

 And Courtney put all of her diapers in a cute basket with a little girly outfit included.  Christie already has a little boy so she is getting to experience all the fun clothes that having a little girl brings. 

 Before we left, I had all the girls "sign" a diaper for Christie to have.  Hopefully these little notes will bring a smile to her face when she has to get up in the middle of the night to change them!!

With all this diaper love, Little Miss Everley should  have no shortage of diapers for the first few months!!!

A few weeks ago we had a shower for the 7th sweet little boy joining our ABF.  Somehow I forgot to blog about it!!

My sweet friends Jenny & Michelle hosted the shower for Courtney.

They made a precious little diaper cake and served Chex Mix and cupcakes with little buttons on them. I loved the "Cute as a Button" theme.  So creative!!!

Baby Jack is due to arrive on September 29th, which is Matt's 30th birthday!!!

Nobody is ever surprised with my baby gift.  All the girls know that they are getting a K'Link baby wrap.  It was one of my favorite baby items so it's fun to gift something that I personally loved and that I can personally make for them!!

I have always had Pearson with me or there has been a little baby at the showers to model my wrap, but this time there weren't any babies at the shower.  Luckily Courtney had a little doll from her CPR class the night before!! I have to say, the little baby was pretty creep though!!

 There are only two pregnant gals left in our class.

I wonder who will be next to join the Mommy Club!! Or even crazier, I wonder who will be the first to start round two of babies.  We started the first round of babies, but we are hoping to give someone else in the class the opportunity to start round #2!!

baby showers are a blast!

This weekend I had two showers, one wedding shower and one baby shower.  It was great to see my college roommate and celebrate her upcoming wedding in August!! It's been so hard for us to keep up with each other since college because she lives in Houston and is super busy being an accountant.  I was thrilled to get to see her at her hometown shower and can't wait to see her again at her wedding this summer. 

Although I had a great time at the wedding shower, I have to be honest, baby showers are so much more fun!! I'm just sort of out of wedding mode and totally into baby mode.  Baby stuff is just cuter!! And since it's the stage of life I'm in right now, it's fun to celebrate with other girls that are about to enter into the wild ride of motherhood!

Today we celebrated Carissa and Baby Landry.

Alicia and Julie did such a great job of planning the cute little Outer Space themed shower.  

We even played a fun little game called "Baby Names That Are Out Of This World." As you can tell, I didn't do so hot!!

 And if you didn't believe me when I said we had a ton of babies on the way, just look at all of our Mamas-to-Be!! And in fact they are all (except Michelle) going to be Mamas of little boys!!! Pearson is super excited to have lots of little buddies.  Michelle finds out what they are having next week but I'm going to just go ahead and say boy because that seems to be the trend in our class!!

 I just love these girls. I'm so happy ton not only do life with them but also experience Motherhood with them!!

here's the scoop....

A few weeks ago a few girls from my ABF hosted a baby shower for Anna and Baby Westin.  There will definitely not be any shortage of boys in our class!!

And I am so proud to be the mama of one of those sweet boys!!

Pearson was the only boy at the shower, but he didn't seem to mind because he got lots of special attention from all the girls.  However, he won't be tagging along at the next baby shower I go to because he is into everything!!
