friday favorites

Happy Friday!!
Today I'm linking up with Friday Favorites!!
Hosted by: Andrea, Erika, & Narci

I can't believe it, but this is actually our last Friday night here in Dallas.
Next Friday night we will be spending our first night in our new {to us} home in Tyler.
I'm excited and nervous and scared all at the same time.

I have 10 favorites for ya tonight…….

{one}
This past Friday night we dropped the kids off at Parent's Night Out at our church.  We went to Gloria's for dinner and split some delicious shrimp and steak fajitas then headed to Best Buy to buy a new refrigerator for our new house.  If you know me at all, you know I love a good deal, and of course we got a great deal on it.  I had a 10% off coupon, I price matched it at Nebraska Furniture mart, and we got free delivery. We saved almost $700!!!  I debated on whether to get a French Door fridge or stick with a side-by-side like we have always had, but after a FB poll, I had overwhelmingly positive feedback on French doors.  I am so excited about our new fridge.  Another sign I am getting old!!

Pearson had a choir concert on Sunday night.  He has loved being in Preschool Praisers this year.  He was a hoot at his concert.  All the little kids had such different personalities performing.  We couldn't stop laughing.  He sang all the songs, but he also spend most of the time stomping and jumping on and off the risers.  Thank goodness he wasn't on the top row or he would have fallen off!!
After the concert, my in-laws came over for dinner and to help watch the boys while Matt and I got some work done around the house.
Grandaddy did the dishes and Grammy bathed the kids, while Matt and I took things down off the wall, patched the holes and painted over them.  I'm so thankful for all of there help!!

On Monday we had our last MOPS meeting. Our group of girls was so amazing this year.  They were such an huge encouragement to me this year.  We found out about the possibility of moving to Tyler way back in August, so these ladies have been praying over our move all year long.  Originally we thought we were going to moving way sooner, but I'm so glad that I was able to finish out the year with these girls.  I will definitely miss them all.

Have you heard of How-Old.net? I'm embarrassed to admit how much time I wasted one day this week playing around with it.  Just go to the website, upload a picture and it guesses your age.

In this one, I think all my extra make-up for our family pictures made me look really young and apparently my boys are so cute that they look like girls. Matt just put on a couple of years in this picture.
In this picture, it actually had my age pretty close, but Matt is robbing the cradle.  And somehow my little one year old looks like a 55 year old lady. What????
And this one is my favorite…..
My friend Sarah might kill me for posting this, but she only told me not to post it on Instagram. She didn't say anything about my blog!!! Apparently we are all grandma's.  But heck, if this is what being a grandma looks like, that doesn't look too bad!!

Oh my word……Nash is into everything these day.  He refuses to play with toys.  He would prefer opening cabinets, unrolling toilet paper, playing with remotes, digging out of the trash, stealing Mommy's sonic drink and trying to get ice out of the fridge.
This little kid swifter sweeper is the only toy he has been playing with lately.  I think it's only because he thinks he is doing something I do.

Painting on the concrete with water is our jam!! We have literally done it every day this week.  It's one of the few things both boys will stay entertained with at the same time for a good amount of time.

On Wednesday night we went to Shady's for dinner with our small group.  We have been meeting with this group once a week since Pearson was 6 months old.  The are our people and we are going to miss them so much.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do without my girls.  I'm praying that we find this same kind of community of believers in Tyler.

Yesterday Nash had his 15 month check up.  He weight 25lbs 15.5oz which is in the 75% and he was 32.5 inches which is in the 90%.  He is definitely a BIG boy!!!

{nine}
Pearson came home with this from church.  These little questionnaires always make me laugh.  I love that he loves me because "I chill with him".

{ten}
Twice this week Pearson has ran in our room so fast when the big loud storms hit.  It's crazy how he can be so scared one minute in his room but then totally fine and snoozing through the storm when he is on a pallet beside our bed.

{and a bonus}
I can't help but share this picture of my almost FOUR year old.  Since we are moving to Tyler a month before his birthday we decided to celebrate early so he could have a party with all of his friends.  We are having his party tomorrow and he can't wait!!!

{and one more bonus}
Pearson's birthday picture reminds me that I STILL need to blog about Nash's first birthday party.  All of my pictures are stuck on my iPad and I need to move them over to my computer.
If you made it through this post, then you are awesome!
I'm sure there are typos, but it's way past my betime and we have lots of work to do tomorrow to get ready to move next week.  Ahhhh!!!!

Night y'all!!
