cherry, grape, orange, lime....

tonight was POPSICLE time!!!
It took Pearson a little while to figure out that he didn't have to hold the cold popsicle.
I helped him out and put the stick in his hand.
Once I switched it around he really got the hang of it.
He didn't stay interested in it for too long, but I do think he enjoyed it.
This definitely won't be our last popsicle of the summer!!
Next time maybe we'll try cherry, grape or lime!!

weekend recap

How was your weekend??

We had such a fun little family weekend!!

We had a pretty low key Friday night.  We went to Chick-fil-A and got our free Chick-fil-A sandwiches for wearing our Rangers gear!! I love that our Chick-fil-A has Rangers nights every so often!! It makes for a yummy cheap meal for our little family!!
On Saturday I got on an organizing kick and organized all the drawers in our bathroom and bedroom. We also made a trip to Dick's to get Matt a new softball glove.
After Pearson took his afternoon nap we head to Splitsville to meet some friends from our ABF for some bowling.
We went to BJ's for dinner afterwards. Yum, Yum!!
Pearson's napping schedule always gets messed up on Sundays.  He doesn't take a morning nap at church, so you would think that he would take a nice long afternoon nap, but it doesn't usually work out that way.  Pearson woke up from his very short afternoon nap around 3 and was not in a good mood, so we decided to pack up and head to the pool to entertain our grumpy little boy!
As you can see, he quickly changed his attitude!!
I love it when Matt comes to the pool with us! I actually get to lay out a little it when he comes!!
Matt even got to catch some sun rays too, while he played with his toys!!
I always pack a sippy cup for Pearson but he would rather drink out of my water.  He was so cute squatting down trying to get a drink!!
 Caught!!!
The last few times we've gone to the pool I have packed Cheerios and mandarin oranges for a snack.  Pearson chows down on the mandarin oranges.  Funny thing is though, he will only eat them at the pool.  I tried to give them to him at home and at Chick-fil-A and he will not eat them.  I guess have oranges as a pool snack.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

july 4th fun

Our 4th of July was a pretty nice relaxing day, except for the fact that Pearson decided to wake up at 6:30, which is about an hour earlier than normal. We spent the first part of the morning playing with little man, then while he napped I cut Matt's hair and caught up on 3 weeks of Project Life.then we all went to pick up my free Walgreen's prints!!  We came home and ate a small lunch at home in preparation for our big dinner at Matt's sister's house!! Pearson was able to squeeze in one more nice nap before his big evening of playing with cousins!

This is Pearson's new favorite place to hang out in our house.
We went over to The LeBlanc's house at 4:30.  Pearson always loves playing with all of Ethan's toys.  Especially his puzzles!! This kid loves puzzles!!
It was perfect weather for a little pool time!!
Pearson was way more interested in the water fall than anything else in the pool.
We always love swimming at their pool because their backyard is like a little mini paradise.  It's nice and shaded so it doesn't get to hot!!
For dinner, Bryan made the best barbecue.  He is such a good cook! We had sausage, brisket, pulled pork and ribs and all the yummy sides to go with it.  It was so good.  Pearson enjoyed it all too.  Can you tell?
For dessert we enjoyed a yummy fruit pizza made by Grammy!!
And before we left, Pearson made a little "boy cave" out of the toy cabinet.  No need to pull the toys out when you can just go in and play with them!  He literally stayed and played in there for a good 10 minutes.  It was so funny.
Sadly, since Pearson goes to bed so early we weren't able to see any fireworks outside.  We ended up watching the firework show in Boston on TV after we put Pearson to bed and it was phenomenal.  One of the best firework shows I've ever seen.  And it was so nice to sit in the AC and not get bug bites!  I was so impressed with the show that I looked online to see how much they spent and it is approximately a $2.5million firework show.  No wonder it was so amazing!!

Hope you all had a fun 4th!!

is it august yet?

If you've been reading my blog for the past year, you know that I have posted about Erin Condren deals and her Life Planners quite a few times.  I have to be honest though.  I'm not as impressed with my Life Planner as I had hoped to be.

While it is super cute with it's fun bright design.....
.....it has definitely had a few down sides.

1.  It's too big.  I don't like how I can't put it in my purse or diaper bag.  It's just too bulky to carry around with me, so it always end up staying at home.  What good is a planner that you can't carry with you.

2.  I ran out of stickers.  I loved how clean the stickers made my planner look so I was super disappointed when I ran out of stickers months ago.

3.  The tabs are getting floppy and starting to tear with all the use my planner gets.

So instead of complaining about my Erin Planner all the way until the end of December, I have decided I'm moving on!!  I've always been an "Academic Calendar" (Aug-Aug) kind of girl, so in August I'm retiring my Erin Condren planner.

So what are you moving on to??

I'm so glad you asked!!!

My sweet friend Tammy introduced me to May Books.
There are so many cute patterns and monograms to choose from.  There were so many to choose from that I may or may not have order a few extra notebooks for gifts!!
You can also choose your inside pages.  I went with the Academic Calendar, but you can also choose between monthly, weekly, meal planning, baby bump, baby dairy or just a plan ole blank notebook!!
So if you are in the market for a new planner or even just a new plain notebook, go check out these May Books!! You won't regret it!!

And because you know I love a good deal, use the code monolove to get a free monogram (a $5 value).

I seriously can't wait until August so I can start using my May Book!!
