Matt took this entire week off for a little family time. We made a list of fun things we wanted to do, places we wanted to eat, and things we needed to get done around the house. Monday we ate at Frankie's for lunch, relaxed and bought a new MacBook Pro for me!! We spent all day yesterday working on little projects around the house and yard and I even did some deep cleaning.
After all of our hard work yesterday today was a family day full of fun. We grabbed some lunch at In N Out then headed to Fair Park to the Children's Aquarium.
I've been the the Dallas World Aquarium and it is definitely better than this one, but for less than half the price, it wasn't that bad.
Pearson wasn't so sure about all the fish. He would look at them, but he would not say a thing or crack a smile at all.
This alligator was so crazy. I thought it was like a porcelain model at the bottom of the pool, but as soon as I walked up to him he popped up like this, and scared me to death. So freaky to see an albino alligator!!
This girl pulled out some sort of crazy looking crab and Pearson would not touch it. He wasn't afraid to touch the goats and bunnies at the petting zoo last week, but a wasn't about to touch that crazy crab!!
Is it just me, or sea horses the oddest little creatures ever??
And on that same list of crazy little creatures are sting rays.
Our last stop before we headed home was the shark exhibit. There were some other big fish in there too.
Little man was so good for our little outing.
And to finish off the afternoon of family fun, we made a stop at Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard!!

Totally craving a blizzard now!
I was wondering about the Children's Aquarium. But wasn't sure if it was worth it. Will definitely need to check it out.
I can't say I blame Pearson for not touching the crab. Ha Goats are much cuter. ;)
Now I need a blizzard! :)
Pearson has had a lot of fun experiences this summer. Don't blame him for not touching or smiling at that crab! He's pretty smart! Glad you guys had a fun day.
